Trump says he'might' spend money on his presidential campaign.

Former President Donald Trump claimed Monday that he "might" spend his own money on his 2024 presidential campaign, which he hasn't done since 2016.

Trump told reporters at his 40 Wall Street building in Lower Manhattan, "I might do that," adding, "It's none of your business." "I have a great company and lots of cash," Trump stated. "I might spend a lot of money on my campaign."

The former president said New York Judge Arthur Engoron, who ordered Trump to pay $464 million in the state's civil fraud case, doesn't want him to use his money to get elected.

"They don't want me taking cash out," Trump hinted at Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Trump made the statements after leaving a Manhattan courtroom for his New York criminal case hearing. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled the hush money trial for April 15.

Trump and his co-defendants in the New York civil fraud lawsuit have 10 days to post a $175 million bail, down from the $464 million judgment due Monday, a state appeals court determined while he was in court.

Trump announced Friday on his Truth Social website that he had roughly $500 million to use for his 2024 presidential campaign.

After donating $10 million in the days before his election, the former president hasn't donated to his presidential campaigns since 2016. Instead, he relies primarily on small-dollar online donations for his political endeavors.

In February, Biden's campaign had $71 million in the bank, compared to Trump's $33.5 million. The disparity widens when Democratic and Republican party groups are included.
