Basic Green Bean Casserole Ingredients: 1. Green Beans: 1 pound, fresh or frozen, trimmed and blanched. 2. Cream of Mushroom Soup: 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed. 3. Milk: 1/2 cup. 4. French Fried Onions: 1 1/2 cups, divided. 5. Salt: To taste. 6. Black Pepper: To taste. 7. Garlic Powder: Optional, for extra flavor. 8. Butter: Optional, for added richness.

Instructions: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. Mix well.

The dish should be bubbling and the onions golden brown after 25–30 minutes in the preheated oven. After baking, add the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions on top and serve.

For a fresh, aromatic flavor, toss blanched green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, and your favorite herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley before adding them to the casserole dish.

Spicy Green Bean Casserole: Spice up cream of mushroom soup with hot sauce or red pepper flakes. For more spice, put cayenne pepper on top before baking. Try different ingredients and flavors to make your green bean casserole your own. Enjoy!
